Over the last few years the neutral eyeshadow trend has reached epic proportions with barely a brand out there failing to release their own take on the neutral/natural eye palette.
There’s a reason for their popularity of course. A good neutrals palette should easily take you from a subtle day look to a smoking, high glamour look with ease, as well as any look in between. Browns and beiges were once considered the plain janes of the beauty world but today they are anything but boring.
We stock a wide range of neutral eyeshadow palettes with something suitable for most budgets and here are our favourites. If you are specifically looking for a palette that will create a soft day time look as well as ramping up the glamour for night time, it’s a good idea to look for a palette that contains neutral shades as well as highlight shade and a black or near black shade to add smoky drama.
Kicking off with the LA Girl Cosmetics Beauty Brick Eye Shadow Palette in Nude. At £6.95 and containing 12 shades this is a no brainer. It’s suitable for those on a tighter budget without compromising on quality, it even includes a brush so if you’re starting a collection from scratch, no extra purchases are required.
Next is the Milani Every Day Eyes Palette (£8.95). This palette actually comes in several colourways that fit our Nude/neutral needs. Have a look at Bare Necessities, Earthy Elements and Must Have Naturals and choose your favourite. Each palette comes with six pigmented shades as well as a brush and a step by step guide to application, ideal for the less confident.
Morphe offer the Natural Beauty Eye Shadow Palette as well as the Soul of Summer Palette (£14.95 each) each palette contains 12 beautiful shadows.
Moving onto the Neve Cosmetics Elegantissimi Eye Palette (£21.95). The Elegantissimi palette holds ten beautiful neutral shadows in a range of finishes, from matte, to satin and pearl.
The Saucebox Cosmetics Etude Eyeshadow Palette (£34.95) is beautifully packaged and houses eight matte shadows with fantastic pigmentation, it can also be used for contouring purposes.
The Daniel Sandler Scandal at Midnight Eye Shadow Palette (£28.00) has less shadows than the other palettes mentioned, and contains only four shades. Black, White, glitter and grey. All of the shadows can be used wet or dry and are packed with rich pigment.
Finally we have the Ben Nye Essential Eye Shadow Palette (£56.10). The Ben Nye brand is aimed at the professional make up artist, but if you’re looking for high quality cosmetics then don’t let the fact that it’s a professional brand put you off. The Essential Eye Shadow Palette contains eight shadows and is magnetic and refillable.
