Nautical for Summer

Nautical themes never grow old when the sun starts shining. Crisp primary shades of blue and red, with bright white along with cute anchor prints on clothes conjure up perfect Summer’s days by the water.

Shades to look out for a true, blue toned bright reds, royal or navy blues and crisp whites.

You can use each shade wherever you see fit, but here are some product suggestions to give you some ideas

Starting with eyeshadows, all the shades mentions can be used on the eyes, but red tones are probably only for the brave.

Sugarpill’s pressed eyeshadows offer maximum pigment, try Velocity (a matte royal blue), Tako (matte white) and if you’re feeling bold, try Love + (bright red) £8.95 each.

Obsessive Compulsive have a huge range of loose pigments, be sure to check out Pure Cosmetic Pigments in Rust, Royal Blue and White £9.95, these are all matte formulas. Alternatively try each or Heroic or Iced from the Colour Concentrate range that offer a little more dimension. £9.50 each.

If you like to add liner to your look, or skip eyeshadow altogether and head straight to the liner try any of these true blues. Start with a liner to outline the lips, and apply all over to enhance the wear time of your lipstick. Pop on your favourite anchor prints or nautical stripes and go forth and be fabulous!
