Music Festival Must Haves

17th July 2013

Music Festival Must Haves

Glastonbury may have come and gone for this year but festival season is really just beginning. This Summer we’ve yet to have Latitude, T in the Park, Reading, V, Leeds, Creamfields and Bestival and that’s not including many of the smaller more localised festivals that take place the whole country over.

Whichever festival you’re heading to, whatever the weather, you probably still want to look nice and feel clean but facilities can be limited so here’s our guide to the things you should take to help you feel and look a little fresher, even when showers aren’t readily available.

Dry Shampoo – definitely take a dry shampoo with you to keep your hair clean that bit longer between washes. There are many on the market these days, grab a mini can or travel size that won’t take up too much room in your luggage.

Deodorant – no one wants to be stinky! Hand Sanitising Gel – no explanation necessary. If you use the “facilities” you’ll find this is essential!

Sunscreen – sunburn isn’t good. Don’t forget your sunscreen. We know it’ll probably rain, but don’t get caught without! Keep your make up simple and where possible aim to take multi use products!

Foundation – take something portable such as a compact or the Alexami Perfect Puff Minerals which has an inbuilt applicator and if you can cope without your foundation, just take your concealer which will come in handy for blemishes and any dark shadows under the eyes that may appear.

Lip Balm – take a lip balm. Try one with SPF, like the eos Lemon Drop Lip Balm with SPF 15, this will protect your lips from the sun and help keep them hydrated.

Lip Stain - long wearing, it’s nice and light for a festival in terms of finish and if possible find one that doubles up as a cheek stain, if you’re going to festivals, multi-purpose products are your friends.

Bronzer – if you’re a little worse for wear after the night before, a dusting of bronzer will lift your complexion quickly, giving you a healthy glow and helping to hide the deathly pallor!

Eye Liner – A perfect festival look, choose a bright colour or keep it simple, whichever you choose, make sure it's bright! Try the Lime Crime Uniliner - bold and bright!.

Waterproof Mascara - don’t worry about smudging or the rain, just take waterproof mascara then you know you’ll be fine whatever happens.

Wipes – At the end of a long day and night partying, cleanse with a Facial Wipe. Easy to manage if you’ve over indulged, and far less of a faff if it’s really late and all you want to do is sleep. Try any of the Blum Naturals Towlettes.

Whatever you do and don’t choose to take to a festival, under no circumstances forget your loo roll and most importantly, have fun!
